Do I need to pay a deposit?

Do you deliver?

Yes — we service South East Melbourne, VIC including Dandenong, Cranbourne, Berwick, Frankston and Pakenham. Local delivery is $80. Tell us the address on the booking form and we'll confirm if it's in our zone.

How quickly will I hear back?

Is fuel included?

The machine is delivered full. Return it full or we'll bill fuel at cost + a small refill fee.

What licence do I need?

No formal licence is required to operate the SV08 on private property, but you should be confident operating compact plant. Public/commercial sites may require a ticket.

What if I damage the machine?

Minor wear is expected. Damage beyond fair wear is charged at repair cost; you're liable up to the bond amount or the repair cost, whichever is less.

Can I cancel?

Free cancellation more than 48 hours before your start date. Inside 48 hours we charge a one-day rate.

What attachments are available?

Auger ($80/day) and sleeper grab ($50/day), subject to availability. Add them on the booking form.

How wide is the SV08?

Just 680mm with the tracks retracted — fits through standard side gates. Extended track width is 860mm for added stability while digging.

What can it dig?

The SV08 has roughly 1.74m dig depth and 3.16m max reach. Ideal for footings, drainage trenches, pool prep, fence posts (with auger), and landscaping in tight access yards.

Yes — we accept bank transfer and card on confirmation. Receipts emailed instantly.

Is the machine insured?

Yes, the equipment is insured for transport and on-site use. You're responsible for damage caused by misuse, theft, or third parties during the hire period.

Do you call Dial Before You Dig?

No — the hirer is responsible for locating underground services before excavation. It's free at byda.com.au and protects you from costly damage.

Can I extend my hire mid-job?

Absolutely. Call or SMS us as soon as you know — we'll check availability and just add the extra day(s) at your existing rate.
